Multisport World Championships
The World Triathlon Multisport World Championships Townsville 2024 was a 12-day event featuring 19 World Championship races across five levels of athletes, including Age Group, Para triathletes, Junior, Under 23, and Elites.
Racing was divided between two venues: Jezzine Barracks hosted the road-based events, including Duathlon, Aquathlon, Long Course Triathlon, and Aquabike, while the off-road events, Cross Triathlon and Cross Duathlon, took place in the scenic Cape Pallarenda Conservation Park.
With 3,000 competitors from over 40 countries, it was the largest sporting event ever held in Townsville. The event also featured a variety of stalls from across Australia, alongside local vendors, creating a vibrant atmosphere for attendees. Our business was honored to be part of it, providing on-site recovery services for athletes at The Strand Park, where our mobile sauna and ice baths were also open to the public.
This was the first time the Championships were held in Australia, following previous events in Canada, Denmark, and Spain.
